Who Can Join?
The NBPTA is open to any physical therapists working in the NBA, WNBA, or G League.
You must be a full time employee of your team and maintain your physical therapy/physiotherapy credentials and licenses in “good standing”, regardless of the state or country.
You may still join even if you are not practicing exclusively as a physical therapist as long as you have up-to-date physical therapy training. For example, if your role is primarily managerial but you continue to hold your physical therapy license, you will be able to join the NBPTA.
Upon joining, you will be required to provide your license number and state or province. If you do not fit these qualifications, your membership will be revoked.

The following prices reflect the 2026 calendar year and membership is effective immediately though Dec 31, 2026 once purchased. You must meet the terms of membership eligibility.
This membership is designated for full time physical therapists/physiotherapists working for NBA teams.
This membership is designated for full time physical therapists/physiotherapists working for WNBA teams.
This membership is designated for full time physical therapists/physiotherapists working for G League teams.
As the association is still in its early stages, we appreciate your patience as we continue to grow and evolve. We are committed to ensuring that as our membership expands to include representatives from the WNBA and G League, we’ll establish specialized committees. These committees will focus on league-specific issues and help shape a voting structure that addresses the unique concerns of each league.
As JFK famously said, “A rising tide lifts all ships,” and our belief is that by standing together, we will all be stronger. The collective strength of our membership is key to building a powerful and unified voice in professional sports.
